Parents should encourage their children to participate in extra-curricular activities. Below is a list of different clubs a student may participate in.
Drama & Dance Club
In this club students participate in various activities such as flower sales and students can get involved in the production of plays and talent shows.
The Wild Times
This is the official school newspaper. The newspaper is published annually. In this club you will be able to write editorials, report events, write news, and plan the layout or edit the newspaper. Adivisor: Sam Gervaise
Mathematics League
This is a club for student swho excell in math and/or appreciate it.Every month teams from other schools will congregate at a meet. Here they will compete in mathematical problems . The club also meets every month to practice for upcoming meets. Advisors: Jeffrey Shea & Shannon Lavey
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions, formerly Students Against Drunk Driving)
In SADD students focus on ways to prevent and spread awarness of unhelathy behaviours. Students will meet once a month and plan such activities as the Red Ribbon Week and The Prom Promise. Advisor: Sam Gervaise
Mock Trial
In this club students practice for the upcoming competition between other Mock Trials clubs and/or classes. Mock Trial consists of a student participating as either a witness or a lawyer. There are 12 spots available, 6 witnesses and 6 lawyers. In this club each team is given a court case, you must try this court case with another case in a tournament style competition. The presentation is judged. Advisor: Dominic Fruscello
Outdoor Education/Outdoors Club
This is a club in which students go on various trips. These trips include athletic courses, rappeling, and hiking. Student's may also participate in weekend trips. Advisors: Hal Flickinger & Olga Powers
Into The Mind's Eye
This is a literary magazine composed of student artwork and literary pieces. It is a three season publication. Students are involved in the layout and production of the magazine. Advisor: Geoff Bender
Model U.N.
This is a simulation of the United Nations. In it WGSHS is assigned a new country each year. Each student is assigned to be a delegate to other nations. Advisor: Patricia Evans
Ski Club
Students pay a price for the year and are given ski lessons and trips to Labroador Mountain. Novice and intermediates are welcome. Sutdents are given free ski all day and all evenings onFriday of the year. Advisor: Colleen Pierce
Latin Club
Students meet to discuss and plan various Latin associatied activites. Must be currently enrolled at sign up to participate. Advisor: Gale McCall
French Club
Students meet to discuss and plan various French associatied activites. Must be currently enrolled at sign up to participate.
Spanish Club
Students meet to discuss and plan various Spanish associatied activites. Must be currently enrolled at sign up to participate.
